Boniface Mwangi and Agather Atuhaire to sue Tanzania at EACJ

Activists Boniface Mwangi and Agather Atuhaire are about to sue Tanzania for abduction, torturing and illegally vanished in the country during the proceeding of Tundu Lissu case.

Boniface Mwangi and Agather Atuhaire are accompanied with 7 representatives of non-government organizations to sue Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda for their participation of the crime.

The two activists decide to take the matter to EACJ for justice following their shocking revelation after they were headed to Tanzania for Tundu Lissu’s case hearing.

Ugandan activist, Atuhaire, was first one to reveal trauma she experienced after she was abducted by Tanzanian authority, tortured, sexually assaulted after they undressed her naked then chock her back with stick.

Kenyan activist, Mwangi, also emotionally revealed trauma he experienced, with almost same story as what they did to Atuhaire.

Both Kenya and Uganda government remained silence from activists’ story, implying that they are on same side with Tanzania government.

After a month of silence and trauma, the two have decide to take the matter before East Africa Court of Justice.

According to their later, both demands $1 million each of theme respectively on case, also suing general Attorneys of all three countries and EAC secretary for remaining silence about this scandal.
