TCRA has suspended JamiiForums license for 90-day over alleged content that spoil government effectiveness and division.
According to letter shared on social media, TCRA set a temporary suspension on JamiiForums over its posts about Humphrey Polepole shared on Instagram.
The Communications authority said the popular Tanzania forum recently has shown a lack of integrity about journalism after posting accusations based without one side without include other part for analysis.
According to TCRA, the content posted by JamiiForums was baseless because it lacks second part for answers and clarifications, thus authority implement temporary ban to prevent further harm caused by misinformation.
JamiiForums recently posted a series of Humphrey Polepole posts accusing high profile leaders like Kikwete and other powerful people over utilizing Country’s resources and freedom for their own gains.
Polepole was a Tanzanian ambassador, but few days ago he resigned his all positions over seeing things did not work as expected.
He released some alleged classified details about former president Jakaya Kikwete about his part of passing Samia Suluhu Hassan as president contender under CCM without following the party policies.
